Katherine and Anthony are a genuine caring couple who came together through new age technology, but also through their love of dogs. Both being owners of two gorgeous Border Collies, seemed to seal the deal for their relationship and it didn't take them long to know that they were a perfect match. Keeping their engagement a little secret, whilst they prepared their wedding - yes Katherine and Anthony are two very organised people, they decided to share the wonderful news and all the wedding details at once with their large family. Their chosen venue, Emu Bottom, is a gorgeous Homestead a stones throw away from Melbourne City. However, secretly to be honest, I had not yet heard of Emu Bottom Homestead at the time, but once familiarising myself with the venue, I was in total love with the country wedding venue. Emu Bottom is located in Sunbury, surrounded by native bushland. And is a beautiful one stop shop for wedding ceremony and reception. They decided on florist Gillian Pollard and her AMAZING team of wedding and event florists in Melbourne and beyond, who transformed the already beautiful dining space into a stunning elegant masterpiece. Catering is provided by Epicure and is devine! What I really look forward to most on the day is wedding dress. And Katherine certainly made a statement in her absolutely GORGOUS blue gown.
However, with all the planning that goes into arranging the flowers, dress, cake etc...there is no planning that can prevent the rain from falling. And so the cliche goes - 'rain is good luck on your wedding day'. And the rain did fall and fall and fall. But this was by no means a downer for these two loved up people. They took everything in their beautiful step.
